1.Product Description
2. This product contains papain, papaya rennet and protein hydrolase. Papain is a sulfhydryl protease with poor specificity and can decompose more proteins than pancreatic protease. Papain is a single peptide chain consisting of 211 amino acid residues with a molecular weight of 23,000 and an isoelectric point of pl=9.6. The activators are cysteine, sulfide, sulfite and EDTA, and the inhibitors are sulfhydryl reagents and hydrogen peroxide. It accounts for about 10% of soluble proteins; papaya rennet, molecular weight 36000, about 45% of soluble proteins. Lysozyme, with a molecular weight of 2,500, accounts for about 20% of soluble protein.
3. Papain is able to activate fibrinolytic zymogen into fibrinolytic enzymes. It acts only on necrotic tissues, dissolves fibrin, blood clots and necrotic material in the lesion, cleanses the wound, helps to grow new granulation, promotes pus and fluid drainage, and accelerates wound healing.
